    Design Idea: Living Walls

We have ideas to help you get started with your plans!Planting a vertical garden can be as easy as finding a wall or trellis, but a true living wall is plants rooted in the structural support itself, that is fastened to a wall. Either way,  it takes time and patience to establish.

    1. Consider using more than one variety of plant for different forms and textures.

    2. Plan for the future. Select an area that may go undisturbed for several years.

    3. Start trailing plants from containers up above.

    4. Ideas for structural supports include planter boxes or wrought iron with moss attached to a wall or fence.

    5. Plant in layers to provide some depth to the living wall.

    6. Cluster plants in odd numbers to follow good design principles.

    7. Use custom made vertical felt garden planters.

    8. Be creative and experiment with a few different options.
